CSC Training are able to provide training to suit you in a variety of formats. You could attend one of our popular public courses at a venue around the UK; we could present an off-the-shelf course at your premises in-house, or we could tailor a bespoke course especially to suit your training needs.

Below are just a small selection of our many satisfied customers and the courses we’ve put on for them.

After attending another in-house course with Coventry Council, Mouchel approached us and asked if we were able to provide an NEC3 course slanted towards the needs of a joint venture team with Mouchel, Carillion and Highways agency staff working together on the Birmingham Box ATM project. Our speaker Michael Rowlinson of Alway Associates put together and presented a course based on our popular ‘Getting to Grips with NEC3’ course using his vast experience using such contracts on large infrastructure projects.

Customer feedback from this course included…

‘Very much appreciated and well presented’, ‘useful forum to discuss queries and issues regarding NEC contracts’, ‘very interesting’, ‘examples given were relevant to my work’, very informative and well informed’

In-House - Off the shelf courses

CSC Training regular public courses can be run ‘off the shelf‘ delivered at a time and place to suit you – a more cost effective way of training a larger group of delegates at a time, offering real savings and a great way of dealing with logistics or timing difficulties.

Kier approached us and asked if we could provide an NEC course as part of their new-staff inductions.  We now provide NEC courses at venues for them around the country every quarter as well as PPC2000 courses when required using a number of speakers including Lorne Alway and Michael Rowlinson, both from Alway Associates.

Customer feedback from these courses included… ‘A good introduction to NEC’, ‘very useful for implementing NEC’, ‘well presented & a good overview of the conditions of contract’, ‘Mike did a good job keeping a long subject interesting’, ‘I felt the speaker understood our requirements’, ‘Good all-round, informative speaker knows all aspects’, ‘Good overview of NEC procedures’

Dominion Housing Group understand that it  is more important than ever to demonstrate a commitment to their staff by providing training and asked us to present a series of staff training courses.  We put together a programme of courses on ‘A Practical Guide to Construction Contracts’, ‘Keeping up to speed with JCT 05-07 Contracts’ and ‘Project Management Training Camp, 50 things a PM needs to know’ using our speaker Richard Silver of Silver Shemmings.

Customer feedback from these courses included… ‘very well delivered, in-depth knowledge of the subjects’, ‘Good presentation.  Good use of case study examples’, ‘very eye opening’, ‘very lively delivery.  Lots of discussion’, ‘very good overview of law surrounding contracts’.

Tent and Dove Housing recently approached us looking for a course on Value Engineering, to include cost efficiencies and value for money in relation to building and maintenance projects.  In particular they asked us to include: engaging effectively with the team; negotiating skills; value for money, how is it measured, how do you know you have it; effective analysis, evaluation, alternatives etc. and effective partnering.  We asked Chad Murrin of Murrin Associates to develop and present a brand new course specifically for Trent & Dove which was very well received.

Customer feedback from these courses included… ‘very good insight into & background into the finance mechanisms used in the housing industry’, ‘concise course, filled with valuable information – enlightening’, ‘well paced and informative’, ‘very interesting, covers a complicated subject matter’,

The City Surveyors Department of City of London Council attend many of our public courses on a regular basis; however since they had so many delegates wanting to do a CDM course we ran one at their premises, using a course drawn up and presented by our speaker Peter Andrews.  In the thank you letter received after the course they said ’… the presentation was well received and staff found the subject both interesting and informative’.

If any of these courses are of interest to you, please browse through the courses that we have available for ideas and when you’re ready get in contact and we’ll develop a course that meets the training needs of your organisation.

We look forward to working with you.
